I am a Brighton resident and have been painting since I retired about six years ago. With no formal art education, I have worked to develop a realism style through classes and workshops. I enjoy painting landscapes and various southwest or Native American Indian subjects; but my favorite paintings are always of animals. There is a definite love for creating pet portraits and seeing the client’s smile when they see their pet on canvas! My art has been accepted in multiple juried shows and I am a juried member of the Paletteers Art Club. Several of my pet portraits and animal paintings have been awarded People’s Choice awards in various local shows. I currently have a studio at Main Street Creatives and enjoy the comradery and assistance from all of the other artists. Although my medium is oil, I have taken classes and workshops in watercolor and colored pencil. Who knows, maybe this will expand to new areas of art in the future!
